Julian's school Concert

Julian had a concert at school this week and he did so great singing in front of the entire school and parents. The are focusing on peace this month and learning about Dr. Martin Luther King. I also finally had the oppertunity to volunteer in Julian's class and though I didn't do much I really enjoyed getting spend time with his classmates and getting to know them better. Kindergarden isn't so bad!

Oh Jo .. . .. .

Jocelyn can be the sweetest smartest little princess there is......BUT lately she had been throwing the biggest fits and having no regard to where we are at, i.e public places. People say that the "twos" are terrible and YES I agree. Here are some of Jocelyn's recent antics. Screaming and forcing me to carry out of the store when I said she couldn't have a gumball (I relate it to what it would look like if a stranger was kidnapping a child and that child was giving her best effort to free herself), throwing off her shoes in the dressing room, screaming at me then bolting through the store, only to have me catch her a second before she crashed into a stranger's cart. Kicking and screaming and trying to get out of her carseat from Eureka to McKinleyville (for those who dont know that is about 25 minutes but with a insane child feels like eternity!) If she gets in trouble at home.....she will try to hit, scratch, pinch or bite me AND has figured out how to undo the safety door knob things so I have to stand and hold her door closed when she is in a time-out. Now that I have made her sound SO terrible, I should say that this is not everyday all day but it is happening more frequently. But when she is not overtired she is absolutly a doll and dont worry if you ever babysit her, she strictly reserves all her fits for me, is ALWAYS a perfect angel when she goes to somebody else's house.

Baby Steps

Sam is now 9 months old! She has been taking steps the most is probably about 8 but she had taken 4-6 a lot. She stands freely all the time and will go from sitting to standing without the help of objects or people. She has two bottom teeth and one coming through the top. At 8 months I tried giving her formula and she hated it. She would just spit anything that went in out. After about 2 weeks she finally gave in and now loves it. I have increased her to about 3 small bottles a day but am still nursing her in the night and morning probably until she is 12 months. I am actually really enjoying the bottle feedings, gives me a break! I have tried several times to get a good video of her walking but I never seem to be camera ready when the time comes.

I apologize for the sideway video. I forget that the movie mode on my camera is only horizontal!

Christmas Celebrations

Christmas was great to us this year, the kids were spoiled as usual. Julian got scuba gear, baseball stuff, footballs (chocolate and nerf!), DS stuff, toy story box, tech deck things, bathrobe, nerf guns, a space board, and a fighter jet. The girls got all new hello kitty bedding and accesories, lamps, radio, and even a humidifier. Jocelyn got lots of baby doll stuff including a high chair/swing/ and stroller for twins (and the twins too), barbie and barbie stuff galore, make-up, art stuff, some games and an aquadoodle . Sam got so many fun little baby toys, some fun balls, a ball spinner, cute lion, a monkey, gadget board. I am sure I left stuff out but as you can see they were spoiled. Thanks so much to everyone in the fam and more!  Ron and I got eachother a Wii, which we are enjoying we just need to add to our game collection! And I know she would rather I forget...but we also celebrated a Birthday in the family at Christmas time....Happy Birthday Grandma Cahill!

Julian, Jocelyn, and Jordan making cookies for Santa!

When we got home from Ron's Grandma's on Christmas Eve, Santa had stopped by and left a letter and some pajamas for the kids.

Christmas Card

I felt horrible about not doing a Christmas Card for 2008. So for 2009, I spent a little more time on the card and actually sent it out right in the beginning of December. I have also learned that group shots are too hard and took the easy way out and did the kids individually. The mini photo shoot we had on the kitchen floor with a Santa Hat. The picture above is just a pictureof the card that I took with my camera, I had horrible luck trying to scan the darn thing! Below are more pics from that day. I thought the turned out cute. There is only a couple with Julian because he is so easy and coopertive, the girls on the other hand. .  .  .Also I would like to add that I didn't order enough cards this year and didn't realize it until it was too late. Sorry if you wanted one and didn't get one!
